Upcoming Apple TV+ Series MANHUNT Sets Cast

The upcoming Apple limited series “Manhunt,” about the hunt for presidential assassin John Wilkes Booth, has added ten new cast members.

Anthony Boyle and Lovie Simone are set as leads alongside Tobias Menzies in “Manhunt,” Apple TV+’s upcoming limited series about the President Lincoln’s assassination, from “Fargo” writer-producer Monica Beletsky. Previously announced Menzies stars as Edwin Stanton, Lincoln’s War Secretary and friend. Two-time Emmy nominee and SAG Award-winner Matt Walsh will play Dr. Samuel Mudd, who treated John Wilkes Booth’s broken leg the night Lincoln was shot.

Brandon Flynn, Betty Gabriel, Will Harrison, Hamish Linklater, Damian O’Hare, Patton Oswalt and Lili Taylor have also been announced this week. Flynn (“13 Reasons Why”) as Eddie Stanton Jr., Gabriel (“Get Out”) as Elizabeth Keckley, Harrison (“Daisy Jones & the Six”) as David Herold, Linklater (“Midnight Mass”) as Abraham Lincoln, O’Hare (“Pirates of the Caribbean”) as Thomas Eckert, Oswalt (“Veep”) as Detective Lafayette Baker, and Lili Taylor (“Outer Range”) as Mary Lincoln.

“Manhunt” is a true crime series based on the the book “Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln’s Killer” by James Swanson.
