Snowy Day on the Watsons Set; Hachi Tonight!

Elsewhere in Atlanta, it was a warm and sunny spring day. But for the cast and crew of The Watsons Go to Birmingham, the forecast called for snow. The production was blanketed in white on Friday as the cast filmed wintry scenes set in the fictional Watson family’s hometown of Flint, Michigan.

Talented young actors Bryce Jenkins, Skai Jackson and Harrison Knight play the three Watson siblings in this adaptation of Christopher Paul Curtis’ award-winning book about a family’s life-changing roadtrip in the summer of 1963. Dreamgirls star Anika Noni Rose and Wood Harris of The Wire play their parents. The Watsons Go to Birmingham premieres on Hallmark Channel this fall.
