Calling all homeschoolers who think they can "Write Like Mike." Know any sports-crazy children between the ages of 8-12? Get them to write a sports column about a local or national event (250 words or less) and have them enter Walden Media/The Old Schoolhouse Magazine's "Write Like Mike" Contest for an opportunity to have their sports column published in an upcoming issue of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine!

"Mike" is Mike Lupica, the acclaimed sportswriter and New York Times bestselling author of Travel Team and Heat. The Comeback Kids is his new book series brought to you by Walden Media and Penguin Young Readers Group, now in bookstores everywhere.

One Grand Prize winner will win the following:

His or her winning sports column will be published in a Spring 2008 issue of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine;
A signed library of Mike Lupica books;
The winner will receive one thousand dollars ($1,000) to be given to the church, school or educational non-profit of their choice.

No purchase necessary. Open to full-time homeschool students ages 8-12 who are located in the United States. Entries must be postmarked by February 14, 2008 and received by February 19, 2008. Winners will be selected on or about March 1, 2008. Void where prohibited by law.
