The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe — Partnerships

Walden Media partnered with the American Music Conference (AMC) to provide music lessons inspired by the film, The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. We collaborated on five music lessons: A Song of Narnia (found in the Educator's Guide), A Song of Narnia II, Music and Movies: A Sound Connection, A Musical Dialogue, and Musical Settings.

To learn more about AMC, a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the benefits of music, music education and music making to the general public, visit www.amc-music.org. And for more information on how to keep music a vital part of your community, visit www.supportmusic.com.

Walden Media and Reading Is Fundamental (RIF) used The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe to inspire literacy and imagination. RIF's World of Narnia Art Contest invited young artists ages 5-15 to create a poster expressing their own vision of the world of Narnia for the chance to win great prizes.

Kids presented their artistic visions through paint, markers, collage, photography, computer animated graphics, and even crayons. The two grand prize winners, eleven-year-old Noah DelaGardell from Muncie, Ind. and nine-year-old Jarynn Lowe from St. Cloud, Fla., will receive a prescreening movie party for up to 200 friends and family members, provided by Walt Disney Pictures and Walden Media.
