That's why Walden Media partnered with The Walt Disney Studios to bring the timeless Newbery Medal-winning novel Bridge to Terabithia to theaters. Filmed on location in West Auckland, New Zealand, including the rural forest areas of Riverhead and Puhoi, the kingdom of Terabithia—brimming with fantastical creatures, palaces and beautiful forests—has been brought to life by the creative wizards at Weta Digital, the visual effects facility in Wellington, New Zealand. Weta is responsible for the Academy Award®-winning effects in King Kong and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
