Walden Media Options Peter Craig Spec “Relativity”

July 25, 2007

LOS ANGELES (July 25, 2007)—Walden Media has optioned Peter Craig’s spec script “Relativity”, it was announced today by CEO Cary Granat.  Script was brought to the company by vice president of development Evan Turner.

On the eve of their 35th wedding anniversary, the Fergusons bring their children together to let them in on a big secret that sends shockwaves through the household and sets off a series of hilarious and moving events. By the time the tumultuous day is through, every Ferguson will have learned that when it comes to family, it’s all relative.

Peter Craig’s short film Nevel is the Devil made its debut at the 2006 South by Southwest film festival and is currently screening in festivals throughout the US. Nevel is an excerpt of Peter’s feature-length script Green, a project that was part of the Sundance writer/directors lab.  Green will mark Craig’s feature film directorial debut.

Craig is represented by Paradigm. Turner will oversee the project for the company. Director of business and legal affairs Balazs Laszlo negotiated the deal on behalf of the company.
