BURBANK, CA -  Disney's critically acclaimed, live-action comedy "Holes" has grossed over $56 million since its April 18, 2003, release. "Holes Original Soundtrack" moves up to No.7 on Billboard's Soundtrack Chart and has shipped over 120,000 units since its release on April 15, 2003. Additionally, the track "Dig It" by D-Tent Boys—which features vocals by cast members Shia LaBeouf, Khleo Thomas, Michael Fitzpatrick, Bryon Cotton, Brendan Jefferson, and Max Kasch—has been driven to the no.1 slot by kid listeners on Radio Disney's Top 30 Countdown. Radio Disney's Program Director, Robin Jones, comments: "Reaction to this song by our over 3.1 million tweens listening each week has been incredible! From the minute we put the record on the air, kids began to react by calling in to request `Dig It', shooting it to no.1 on our weekly Top 30 Countdown."

XM satellite program director Kenny Curtis adds: "We never underestimate the attachments children make with a powerful story and great characters, but this is particularly true in the case of a book. In a way, books like `Holes' are as close to a cult phenomenon as we get in the Kids realm." The track "Dig It" has been no.1 for 3 consecutive weeks on XM Satellite Radio children's format xmkids!

Robert Marick, Sr. VP of Marketing and Sales, Walt Disney Records, comments: "We are thrilled with the positive reaction the CD has received at retail—we had our best week of sales one month after the film was released. There has been strong word of mouth on the property and kids are really connecting to the soundtrack. We will continue supporting the CD through the fall with price and positioning programs at major retailers across the country."

Based on the award-winning book by Louis Sachar, the movie "Holes" is a fun and poignant adventure that tells the story of Stanley Yelnats (Shia LaBeouf of Disney Channel's original series "Even Stevens"), an unusual young hero. Dogged by bad luck stemming from an ancient family curse, Stanley has little clue that he's in for the adventure of his life when sent to Camp Green Lake. There, he and his campmates—Squid, Armpit, ZigZag, Magnet, X-Ray, and Zero—are mysteriously forced by the camp's director (Sigourney Weaver), her right-hand man Mr. Sir (Jon Voight), and Mr. Pendanski (Tim Blake Nelson) to dig holes in order "to build character." Nobody knows the real reason they're digging all these holes, but Stanley soon begins to question why the head of the camp is so interested in anything "special" the boys find. Through it all, Stanley and his campmates must stick together as they attempt to discover what's really hidden, solve the mystery, and break the Yelnats family curse forever.
