Roy Eberhardt (Lerman) is constantly moving from state to state due to his father’s job.

After moving from Montana to the laidback, tropical Coconut Cove, Florida, Roy has trouble fitting in and avoiding the curse of being the new kid. After befriending two other local outcasts, Beatrice (Larson) and Mullet Fingers (Linley), he is informed about a disturbing threat to a local population of endangered owls taking place at the construction site of the new Mother Paula’s All-American Pancake House.

Determined to protect the adorable creatures, Roy and his friends must take on greedy land developers, corrupt politicians and clueless cops as they fight to prevent the destruction of the owls and their natural home before it is too late.
