A Library without Books? One School’s New Approach

No. No. No. If books weren’t being checked out on a regular basis last spring then the problem started with an administration that did not promote pleasure reading. That is a pretty specific set of numbers for an average day. What constitutes an “average” day? Are we talking picture books or is some ignorant person calling Young Adult literature childish?  And of course circulation statistics are not going to measure the number of times someone came in to use a book as a reference tool.
If you check out the Boston Globe article you will find close to 500 comments where VERY few think it was a good idea.
And yes. I am a school librarian.
