Heal the Bay is a nonprofit environmental organization dedicated to making Southern California coastal waters and watersheds, including Santa Monica Bay, safe, healthy and clean. We use research, education, community action and advocacy to pursue our mission.

SchoolTube provides students and educators a safe, world class, and FREE media sharing website that is nationally endorsed by premier education associations.

The National Association for Media Literacy Education is a national membership organization dedicated to advancing the field of media literacy education in the United States.

The National Association for Music Education, the world’s largest arts education organization, marked its centennial in 2007 as the only association that addresses all aspects of music education. More than 142,000 members and supporters represent all levels of teaching from preschool to graduate school. Since 1907, MENC has worked to ensure that every student has access to a well-balanced, comprehensive, and high-quality program of music instruction taught by qualified teachers. MENC’s activities and resources have been largely responsible for the establishment of music education as a profession, for the promotion and guidance of music study as an integral part of the school curriculum, and for the development of the National Standards for Arts Education.

The Screen Actors Guild Foundation is pleased to contribute to the advancement of literacy in communities across the country through BookPALS (Performing Artists for Literacy in Schools). BookPALS is founded on a clear premise: children must be exposed to the magic of books to develop a love of reading. Who better to make that magic come alive than actors gifted in the art of storytelling? The research shows that one of the best predictors of children’s success in learning to read is being read to aloud, and we hope you’ll support the SAG Foundation’s efforts for this valuable cause!

D.E.A.R. stands for Drop Everything and Read. National D.E.A.R. Day is a special reading celebration inspired by Beverly Cleary’s birthday to remind and encourage families to make reading together on a daily basis a family priority.

Through our safe, and engaging virtual world, www.woogiworld.com, elementary age children worldwide are becoming responsible Internet users and goodwill ambassadors, learning and implementing the character traits that are helping them be good influences in their homes, schools, and communities—ultimately leading out in the global “Woogi phenomenon” of kids driving good works.

BlueNose Edutainment (BNE) is an online educational initiative that transfers the popularity of contemporary music, film, and sports into a way of motivating students to read and write.  Teacher lesson plans and student activities engage students as songwriters, screenwriters, and sports reporters.  Teachers then enter students’ submissions into the BNE national competition for valuable prizes from BNE sponsors.

The Foundation for a Better Life is offering a free set of “values” posters, featuring heroes such as Mother Teresa, Winston Churchill, Bethany Hamilton and more. They have also made a DVD of their TV Public Service Announcements available at no charge. Both act as great values-based discussion starters. Preview the posters and TV PSAs.
