Children on Their Birthdays

Children on Their Birthdays

On what seemed to be another uneventful, long, hot summer day in 1947, a mysterious 13-year-old girl, Lily Jane Bobbit (Tania Raymonde), stepped off the 5 o’clock bus and set off a sequence of events that changed the small town forever.

Two best friends, Billy Bob and Preacher, have never met anyone quite like Lily Jane and are determined to win her over and help her to achieve her dream of going to Hollywood to become a star.

The two battle for her attention and as the summer months wear on, it is clear that they are on a collision course with one another that could not only destroy their friendship, but also take the tiny town with them.

But, when a smooth-talking show promoter (Tom Arnold) comes to town and tries to con the locals out of their life savings, the boys, Lily Jane and her best friend, Sister Rosalba are reminded of the meaning of true friendship.
