“The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” in 3D Selected for the Royal Film Performance!

“The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader” in 3D, has been selected for the 63rd Royal Film Performance™.  The Royal and World Premiere screening event will take place in late November 2010 in London, in the presence of members of the Royal Family.  (Full details to be disclosed closer to the date).

The Royal Film Performance™, is the principal fundraising event of The Cinema and Television Benevolent Fund ‘CTBF’, the trade charity for the UK film and television industries.  The CTBF provides care and financial support to industry employees and their families who fall on hard times.

The film is a Twentieth Century Fox and Walden Media production, and will be released in the UK and Ireland on December 10, for the first time in digital 3D. Directed by Michael Apted, this exciting new chapter in the Narnia saga reunites Georgie Henley and Skandar Keynes with Ben Barnes (Dorian Gray).  Joining them on their fantastical journey is Will Poulter (Son of Rambow).  Liam Neeson (The A-Team) plays the voice of Aslan, while Simon Pegg (Star Trek) voices the valiant ‘warrior mouse’ Reepicheep.

Return to the magic and wonder of C.S. Lewis’ beloved world via the fantastic Narnian ship, the Dawn Treader.  In this new installment of the blockbuster The Chronicles of Narnia motion picture franchise, Edmund and Lucy Pevensie, along with their cousin Eustace, their royal friend King Caspian and a warrior mouse named Reepicheep, find themselves swallowed into a painting and onto the Dawn Treader.  Their mission – upon which rests the fate of Narnia itself – takes the courageous voyagers to mysterious islands and a river that turns to gold, to fateful confrontations with magical creatures and sinister enemies, and to a reunion with their friend and protector, the “Great Lion” Aslan.
