You’ve made your list and checked it twice, but there’s still one person left, your child’s teacher.

(Shameless plug here: if there are more people left on your list, consider getting them a fantastic Walden Media movie or book. Our titles are fun and appropriate for the whole family with the quality you’ve come to expect from Walden.)

Buying a gift for a teacher can be tricky – Your child’s teacher spends several hours a day with your remarkable little one, and is helping shape him into the amazing person he is becoming. His teacher certainly deserves a little token to let her know how much you care, right? So, how do you get the right sentiment across? What’s appropriate?

Edutopia, the great public education resource site, posed the same question to its community of educators. While several teachers were quick to point out that all they really want is “a child who wants to learn,” they did come up with some clever gift ideas that they’d be thrilled to receive.

We’ve excerpted the list below, but be sure to visit Edutopia.org for the explanations behind each selection.
