SAVVY nominated for Prestigious Lamplighter Award

SAVVY, the award-winning novel by Ingrid Law has been nominated for the Lamplighter Award. Each year, the Texas Christian Schools Association selects books that convey wholesome values, uplifting characters, and positive themes. The resulting reading lists are called the Children’s Crown Award Reading Program. The awards are broken down into three lists:

  • Children’s Gallery (grades K-2)
  • Children’s Crown (grades 3-6)
  • Lamplighter (grades 6-8)

The Children’s Crown Awards are part of the national children’s choice award program where children across the country are asked to vote for their favorite books to help create engaging book lists that excite children to read.

The winners of the Lamplighter Award will be announced in June 2011. For more information, please visit: Childrenscrownaward.org
