Go shopping to support public schools – now that’s something we can get behind. The Fund for Public Schools, a non-profit organization dedicated to raising money for New York public schools makes charity that easy through its annual Shop Week. Retailers throughout NYC are hosting special events, donating a portion of their sales or creating exclusive merchandise this week to support public education.
With participating retailers from large chains to small boutiques, there’s an option for everyone. The event runs through October 8th, so visit the Shop for Public Schools website to find a store or event near you.
