Tere Scott of Examiner.com alerted us to this great competition - The Palms for Life Fund invites young people under the age of 25 to create a short film portraying hunger in the U.S. The non-profit’s mission is to help alleviate hunger and seek out its root causes. The group works worldwide to improve the quality of life for people in poorer countries, particular women and school children.
The Faces of Hunger in America campaign is an initiative of the Palms for Life Fund to address the ever-growing hunger needs of more than 36 million Americans. To help raise awareness, the Faces of Hunger has launched the national video campaign.
The video project makes a great social-action lesson in school or at home. It creates a creative, interactive environment for kids to research and address hunger in their own community, something that is often overlooked. For the video, Students/kids can work in groups or individually. It should be 5-12 minutes long. Submissions close October 15th, so begin planning your video today.
The Faces of Hunger has put together a promotional video with guidelines, rules and tips for the competition, so check it out below.
