Do your students love hands-on projects? If you aren’t already acquainted with K’Nex, you should be. K’Nex is a dynamic, open-ended spatial building system, a.k.a. a really cool model-building system. It gives kids the opportunity to use science, math, reasoning and problem-solving in a fun, hands-on way. Your students won’t even realize they’re learning complex concepts.
The K’NEXpert Classroom Challenge will motivate your students as they work together as a class to compete against schools around the country to make the best, most elaborate K’Nex project. The themes are broken down by grade:
Register your class by December 18th to participate in the competition. Final entries, including a picture of the K’Nex project and a description are due by February 18, 2010. The winning classrooms will receive a $350 K’Nex education gift card, and a K’Nex set for each student in the class.
Happy Building!
